Martin Yale BCS212 Tabletop 12up Business Card Slitter Review

Author: Jeff McRitchie. http://www.mybinding.com.

The Martin Yale BCS212 is a tabletop business card slitting machine that is designed to slit business cards that are printed twelve up on the page.
*It uses a two part process. First it slits your letter sized sheet into three strips that are 3.5" x 8.5" and then you feed those strips back through the machine to cut them into perfect 2" x 3.5" business cards.
*The BCS 212 allows you to get 20% more cards out of every printed letter sized sheets as compared a similar 10up business card slitting machine.
Strengths / Features:
*The BCS212 is capable of creating 375 cards per minute which translates to more than twenty two thousand business cards per hour. This means that you can potentially cut a run of five hundred business cards in less than two minutes and a run of one thousand business cards in less than four minutes.
*That type of productivity is excellent for on demand applications.
The blades used by the BCS212 are semi-self sharpening. When used normally, the blades on the BCS-212 are designed to be used for years without the need for replacement. However, over time if you do damage or wear out the blades on this machine it is possible to replace them.
*The BCS212 can accept a stack of documents that is up to 5/8" thick. This means that you can place a stack of sheets into the machine and let it do its work. If you are using letter sized sheets it takes a two step process to cut each card. However, the BCS-212 is also designed to cut cards that are printed four up on a 3-1/2" x 8-1/2" strip in a one step process for added productivity.
Weaknesses / Limitations:
*The BCS212 does have adjustable paper guides that will allow you to adjust the feeding of your sheets slightly for variances in your printing. However, it is really only designed to cut twelve up business cards. This means that it cannot be customized to cut special card sizes or be adjusted for gutter cutting.
*Unlike some of the larger business-card slitters that are available on the market, the BCS-212 does not have the ability to perforate or score documents. If you need these features you will want to look at the Intimus BCS-412 which is a twelve up business card slitter with the ability to score and perforate cards.
*In testing the BCS-212 I found that it did an excellent job with heavy stocks and with coated stocks (at least the ones I tried). However, it was a little bit tricky to get it to work with laminated papers. I was able to get it to work with a little bit of trying but it probably isn't ideal for paper that has been laminated before cutting.
Recommendation:
*The BCS-212 is an excellent choice for small copy shops, human resource departments and small printers who want to produce short run business cards without waiting days or weeks for an outside organization to do the job.
*It is great for companies who need to create between a few hundred and a few thousand business cards per day and have a high quality color copier or digital color printer.
*The BCS-212 will make producing business cards both fast and easy. However, it is probably not the best fit for a large print house or production facility that is dedicated to printing tens of thousands of business cards per day.

PC200E Spiral Coil Binding Machine With Electric Coil Inserter Review

Author: Jeff McRitchie. About The Author: For more information or to purchase thePC200E Spiral Coil Binding Machine with Electric Coil Insertervisit http://www.mybinding.com.

The PC200E spiral coil binding machine is a manual spiral coil binding machine with an electric spiral coil inserter on the top of the machine.
*This machine offers an excellent choice for organizations that are looking for a low cost spiral coil binding machine with a built in electric coil inserter.
*This review will identify some of the strengths, weaknesses, features and limitations of the PC200E coil binding machine.
Strengths / Features:
*The PC200E spiral coil binding offers a great price point for the features it offers. In fact, with a price tag of about $350 I expected the PC200e to be made of plastic. Instead, I discovered a fully featured all metal binding machine that is durable enough for most small offices.
*The PC200E has fully disengageable punching dies. This means that it is possible to stop any one of the holes on the machine from punching making it possible to use the PC200E for binding any size of document. Most spiral coil binding machines have only a few disengageable dies making them compatible with most standard sizes of paper. However, with the PC200e you are not limited to standard paper sizes. You can use this machine to bind scrapbooks, photo books, craft projects and almost any size of document that you can imagine. In fact, with the open throat design of the PC200e you can even punch documents longer than eleven inches.
*The PC200e includes several great features that make binding documents with coil easier than ever. It has a foot pedal activated electric spiral coil inserter on the top of the machine that helps to spin the coil onto your documents. It also includes a pair of spiral coil crimping pliers in the box. These crimping pliers are necessary for finishing your documents with spiral coil. Many other similarly priced coil binding machines do not include spiral coil crimpers or an electric coil inserter.
Limitations / Weaknesses:
*The handle on the PC200e is actually different than the handle pictured in most photos of this machine. Most handles for binding machines have a wood or plastic piece to grab onto that is attached to the handle at 90 degrees. The handle for the PC200e doesn't have this which makes it more difficult to use than handles on other machines. It is a small thing but it definitely makes a difference if you are binding a lot of documents.
*The PC200e is capable of punching between 12-15 sheets of paper per lift. This is adequate for organizations who need to bind a few documents per week. However, organizations that bind large numbers of documents or need to bind documents quickly may find this to be limiting.
*The spiral coil inserter on the PC200e is located on the top of the machine. This makes the inserter more difficult to use than machines with inserters located on the front of the machine. With the PC200e you have to reach to the back of the machine to insert the coil on the book. The punching handle can also get in the way of inserting the coil.
Recommendation:
*The PC200e is the least expensive machine on the market that offers a coil binding punch and an electric coil inserter. Add to this the fact that the PC200e also has fully disengageable punching dies and this machine becomes a great choice for small and medium sized organizations that want to bind their own books.
*If you can afford it, the Akiles Coilmac ECI has an easier to use punching handle and a coil inserter that is located on the front of the machine. If not, the PC200e is an excellent choice.

PC200 Spiral Coil Binding Machine Product Review

Author: Jeff McRitchie. Jeff McRitchie is the director of marketing for http://MyBinding. com.

The PC200 is a low cost feature rich plastic spiral coil binding machine that is ideal for small offices, home offices and for use in scrapbooking.

*This high quality four to one pitch spiral coil binding machine is an excellent choice for organizations that need to bind custom sized documents, reports, presentations or books.

*It includes a number of great features that help to set it apart from other similarly priced machines and even comes with a free pair of coil crimping pliers in the box.

Strengths / Features:

*The PC-200 plastic coil binding machine includes forty-six fully disengageable punching pins. It is one of the only coil binding systems that offers this feature and is most certainly the only machine in this price range to offer disengageable punching pins. Using the punching pins on the front of the machine it is possible to stop any one of holes on this machine from punching. This allows you to punch any custom size of document up to eleven inches. Plus, the open throat design of this unit allows users to punch documents up to twenty-one inches in length using a multi step punching process.

*This machine includes a pair of spiral coil crimpers to help you finish binding your documents. Spiral coil crimpers are used to cut off the excess coil and bend over the end so that the spiral cannot spin back off the book. Crimping coil without a pair of these special pliers can be extremely difficult and is not recommended. Many low priced pieces of equipment don't include a pair of these pliers which sell for about thirty dollars on their own.

*The PC200E binding machine is made primarily of metal. The metal components used in this machine help to make it strong and durable. It certainly isn't an industrial strength binding machine. However, it should be more than adequate for a small office.

*In addition to these features, the PC200 also includes an adjustable depth of punching margin control and a built in coil size selector. These are also great features to make binding documents easier with your coil binding machine.

Weaknesses / Limitations:

*For offices that bind a handful of documents per week, the punching capacity on the PC200 should be more than adequate. It can punch between twelve and fifteen sheets of paper per lift which isn't too bad. However, for users that need to do any type of volume binding, the punching process used by this machine may become extremely tedious.

*Additionally, the PC-200 does not include a spiral coil inserter. This means that you will need to spin the coils onto the document by hand. This is a fairly easy task for binding two or three books at a time. However, inserting fifty or a hundred coils would take a really long time.

*Although it is possible to bind virtually any length of document using the PC-200, this is still an eleven inch binding punch. Binding longer documents requires punching one side of the paper and then flipping the sheets over to punch the remaining holes. This process is time consuming and it can be fairly difficult to set up the machine to get the holes to line up.

Recommendation:

*The PC200 is an excellent low cost spiral coil binding machine for small office and home office users.

*It offers the ability to bind virtually any length of document which makes it ideal for crafting, scrapbooking, professional proposals and more.Plus, it is made almost entirely out of metal to help ensure durability.

*However, the PC-200 has a limited punching capacity and does not include a spiral coil inserter. For these reasons, it is not a good choice for binding more than a few dozen documents per week.

7 Digital Photography Tips For Beginner

Author: Dede Purneim. For more details of the tips, please visit tohttp://digital- photography- tips.ohblitz. com

Do you want to be an excellent photographer? These 7 digital photography tips you can get started on your way to become an excellent photographer if you’d like.
#1. Learn your cameras settings
Chances are you shoot most of your pictures utilizing your camera's "automatic" mode. This will get you average results. If you are striving for great shots, you'll need to learn about other modes too. Take the time to read your camera's manual to understand when to use each shooting mode.
#2. Take more photos
Before going crazy buying the most expensive equipment right away, you had better take more photos because the more photos you take, the more you’ll know about what kind of camera to get when it’s time to upgrade. In other words, you can always delete the bad ones later.
#3. Busting the dust
Digital camera with removable lenses are prone to dust landing on the sensor. Static electricity around the sensor can possibly contribute to attracting dust particles, or other elements to this sensitive area of your camera. You can get rid of the dust is a camera blower brush, and tilt the camera down while blowing. Take care not to get any of the hairs snagged inside.
#4. Use a tripod
A tripod will keep your camera steady which will make your photos clearer.
#5. Shot your subject at different focal length, angles, and formats
Shoot your subject at different focal lengths - using the zoom on your photos will not only change how close your subject appears but it will also change the depth of field (ie the blurring of the background). It also allows you to shoot from different distances which can really impact how relaxed your subject is (there’s nothing better than a photographer in your face to make you tense up)
Shoot your subject from different angles - it’s amazing how much you can change a shot by getting on your knees or taking a few steps to the side.
Shoot using different formats - there are different ways to grip a digital camera. The two main ones are horizontally or vertically but you can also get into all kinds of diagonal ways to do it. Mix it up.
#6. Experiment with different ‘modes’
Even the most basic point and shoot cameras have different ’shooting modes’. These are usually things like ‘portrait’, ‘landscape’, ’sports’, ‘night’ etc. Sometimes it’s worth flicking through these to take shots at different settings. What these modes do is simply change the basic settings (like aperture, shutter speed, ISO) - all things that can change the look and feel of your shot considerably
#7. Play with your Flash
Try turning your flash off or forcing it to fire in shots. Sometimes adding flash to a scene where there’s lots of light behind your subject is essential (even though your camera might not think it needs it). This stops those silhouette shots where it looks like you’re trying to hide the identity on your subject.

Home Improvements With Panasonic's Line HDTV

Author: Jim Ames. http://myhomeimprovementtips.com

Panasonic is a well-known and trusted name in the home electronics industry and their line of HDTVs is no exception. Long focused more on plasma HDTV, they now sport many models in LCD and DLP as well for your home improvement needs.
Like most manufacturers the plasma models tend to be more expensive than either LCD or DLP, but prices in all three lines are dropping. That trend is expected to continue for at least another year.
Offsetting those price drops are an emphasis on larger screens and higher resolutions. The 37" plasma is still available and can - theoretically - display over 8 billion colors. 'Theoretically' since the human visual system can't discern that many differences anyway. Most models are 42" or larger. Several offer an in-built card that makes a cable box unnecessary, in some cases.
The 42" TH-42PM50U plasma sports a 4000:1 contrast ratio. In general, higher is better - though, here again there's a limit to what humans can perceive. Some plasmas are rated as high as 10000:1. Any set within that range is likely to offer very black blacks and vivid, realistic colors.
Most of the differences among plasmas, like other types, is size and price but some carry extras. The 50" TH-50PX60U comes with an additional SD memory card slot, which allows displaying digital camera photos on the large, flat-panel set.
There are a dozen different models to choose from, ranging from 37" to 50" with several 42" models available. Differences lie mostly in the small details. Some have more input/output slots and ports, some have PC card slots or SD slots, others have more speakers than another.
The LCD line is a good option for those wanting to spend a little less and willing to accept a smaller screen in exchange. Some extras are available among the LCD models. The 26" TC-26LX60, for example, comes with an included pedestal stand (which many of the larger units don't).
The PT-50LC14 is a 50" model that supports 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i in a flat panel design. Picture quality is excellent, but like any LCD it's important to view from the proper distance. For this size, eight feet would be the minimum recommended.
The 'i' stands for interlaced, a technique in which the pixel rows are illuminated every other line, a complete screen 'painted' in two passes. 'p' types make one pass across the screen. While, all other things being equal, 'p' types offer a superior picture, interlaced models are still excellent. Older technology suffered from some flicker with interlacing, but that's largely no longer true.
Whatever size you choose, be sure the model includes an HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) interface and component ports. Without it, you may be frustrated by the poor picture quality from your DVD player. With it, even 480p DVDs can display an impressive picture quality.
Though among their newer offers, the DLP line is second to none. Currently, only three models are available - though you may find older models at some outlets - but all are outstanding.
The PT-56DLX75, for example, offers an extraordinarily clear, sharp 56" screen with a range of resolutions supported: 480p, 720p and 1080i.
Prices are affected by screen size, obviously, but also by resolution supported (720p vs 1080i for example), extras and a host of other factors. As with any TV, be sure to view under good lighting conditions before deciding. And as always, check with your family, budget and home improvement project needs before you buy.

Rhin-o-Tuff HD6500 Heavy Duty Interchangeable Die Modular Binding Punch Review

Author: Jeff McRitchie. For more information or to purchase theRhin-O-Tuff HD6500 Heavy Duty Interchangeable Die ModularBinding Punch visit http://www.mybindin g.com. Jeff McRitchie isthe director of marketing for http://MyBinding. com. He writesextensively on topics related to Binding Machines,BindingSupplies, and more.

The Rhino Tuff HD-6500 is a heavy duty interchangeable die modular binding punch that is designed for use in print shops, binderies, copy shops and large organizations.
*Although this machine looks almost identical to the HD7000 there is one primary difference. This machine uses the Rhin-O-Tuff Ez Change die system which makes changing hole patterns slightly more cumbersome than the "quick change" die system offered on the HD-7000 and HD-7700 models.
*However, for organizations that primarily use one type of binding or who don't mind spending a few minutes changing the die set on their machine this punch can save users a few hundred dollars.
*Apart from the difference in the die change technology, the HD-6500 is nearly identical to the HD-7000 and is a high quality heavy duty binding punch.
Strengths / Features:
*The HD6500 offers the ability to punch between thirty and fifty five sheets of paper at a time depending on the hole-pattern that you are using. If you are using a three hole or Velobind die you can punch over fifty sheets. It can handle about thirty sheets of paper using a spiral coil binding die. The only punch that can handle more sheets of paper at a time is the Rhino Tuff Ultima HD-7700.
*Like the HD7000 and HD7700 this punch has a full fourteen inch wide punching throat. All of the dies for this machine are fourteen inches wide and are capable of punching a legal sized sheet of paper. The HD-6500 also has an open punching throat that makes it possible to punch longer sheet sizes using a two step process. Plus, every die offers the ability to pull any of the punching pins in order to produce a custom hole-pattern.
*The Rhin-O-Tuff HD6500 is a heavy duty all metal binding punch that is designed for use in high volume production environments. The case, die mechanisms, internal components and even the chip tray are all made of high quality steel and are designed for strength and durability. This machine is built to be used every day for years without the need for any maintenance. It even comes with a one year warranty on both the die and the machine.
*The HD6500 allows you to bolt a plastic comb opener, wire closer or coil inserter to the top of the punch. This can help you conserve space and makes sure that your finishing equipment is always in reach when you need it. However, you also just set your finishing device on the top of the machine and then use it separately from the punch. This allows you to increase productivity by forming an assembly line with one operator punching documents while another finishes them.
*The Rhino HD 6500 has a vertical punching throat that allows gravity to help ensure that your documents are aligned and flush for punching. The process of dropping your pages into the punch can help to make sure that all of your sheets are lined up and ready for punching. This can help to reduce costly punching errors, especially if the punch is being used by an inexperienced operator.
Weaknesses / Limitations:
*The primary difference between this machine and the HD 7000 is the die change system. This machine is priced a few hundred dollars less because the die change system is more difficult to use. In order to change the die set on this machine you need to flip up the metal lid on the front of the machine, loosen two bolts and then slide the die out of the machine.
*Overall the die change process will take most users about two minutes which really isn't too bad. However, if you do not adequately tighten the two bolts when you insert the new dieset into the machine it can cause problems. If those two bolts are not completely tight there will be movement in the dieset during the punching process which can affect the accuracy and longevity of the punch.
*The HD-6500 includes many of the same features as the larger HD-7700 Ultima punch. However, in order to cut the price Rhino Tuff reduced the size of the punching motor and made the dies smaller and less durable. High volume users may want to consider paying the extra money to upgrade to the HD7700 or the GBC Magnapunch.
*Like all of the Rhin-O-Tuff punches that I have tested, the HD6500 has the ability to punch a large number of sheets at one time. However, punching the maximum capacity of this machine results in a really poor punch quality. The holes in the sheets end up looking jagged and the sheets of paper become welded together. In order to avoid these punching quality problems it is necessary to reduce the number of sheets that you punch at a time to around twenty. This eliminates much of the advantage that this machine has over other modular binding punches.
*The HD-6500 is an excellent binding punch for industrial applications and fits well in a print shop or production environment. However, it has an industrial look that many professional office environments do not prefer. The GBC modular binding punches have more of a professional appearance and are better suited for office environments where the punch may be placed in a public area.
Recommendation:
*The HD-6500 is a high quality heavy duty modular binding punch that is a great choice for organizations that primarily use one hole pattern and only occasionally need to switch dies.
*It offers a savings of a few hundred dollars over the HD-7000 which offers the same set of features but has an easier die change mechanism.
*The HD6500 has a great punching capacity, heavy duty construction, a fourteen inch punching throat and comes with an awesome one year warranty.
However, this machine is not as easy to use as some of the other modular binding punches that are available on the market and does not offer the professional look that is offered by GBC.
*Still, this is a great machine for an organization that is on a budget and needs a reliable heavy duty modular binding punch.

Tips For Choosing A Used Audi Convertible

Written by Louis Rix. Louis Rix is a Director of NetCars, one of the UK's leading motoring websites. First established in January 2000, it provides car finance, loans and insurance. We also provide an online car search for Used Audi Cars.

There are certain risks to buying a used car whatever the make of it, however as cars go, then a used Audi Convertible is one of the better models to choose. Audi are known for their reliability and strength and so if looked after properly stand the test of time and excellent second hand cars can be found.
As the Convertible has a roof that retracts this should be your starting point when looking over the car during an inspection. The roof should retract quietly and smoothly with no stutters whilst driving. When down on the car it should fit perfectly and there should be no gaps. You also have to give it a good inspection to ensure that there are no signs of problems with the material on the roof from wear and tear. Look this over closely to ensure that it isn’t going threadbare or to ensure that repairs and patch jobs have not been made to it.
If the model of used Audi convertible you are considering buying has leather interior and steering wheel, check for any signs of wear and rubbing to the leather. Also check the dashboard for any signs of staining from the sun glare through the windscreen. Of course a test drive is a necessity and this should be as comprehensive as possible. Take the car through its paces around town, on country roads and a stretch of the motorway if possible. This will allow you to get a good feel of how the car handles on all road surfaces and at different speeds.
Before you do buy the car, make sure that you would be able to afford the insurance for the model. So compare insurance premiums online. You would also have to spare some thought to the running costs of the car. How much the car would cost in fuel on average, you also have to choose between diesel and petrol models. Always be aware that repairs and replacements might have to be paid for in the future if they crop up. You can use the internet to find out what various parts such as a replacement exhaust, brake pads or lights would cost before buying.
Of course the majority of people do not have the cash to spare to purchase the car on the spot. So also consider your finance options. The choices you have will depend on factors such as your credit status, the terms you want to take the loan over and how much you are asking to borrow. If buying from a car dealership you will probably be offered a loan from them; however the rates of interest will probably be higher than if you had searched for the loan yourself. Sometimes a dealership will offer loans that come with 0% finance and if you can afford to repay within this time period then choosing this option can be the cheapest way of buying your used Audi Convertible. If the car you are buying requires you to borrow a considerable sum and your credit rating is less than perfect then consider looking at a secured loan. However when doing so you have to remember that you at risk of losing the car if it is taken as security until you have paid off the entire loan.

What is a USB Flash Drive?

Written by Derek Rogers. Derek Rogers is a freelance writer who writes for a number of UK businesses. For logo branded USB Flash Drives, he recommends Flashbay.com.

USB Flash drives are considered to be one of the most popular storage devices on the market. They were first introduced to the public by IBM in 1998. They received instant popularity when they were launched and they have replaced both floppy discs and CDs. You can take them anywhere, on your key ring, in your wallet, or in your pocket. One benefit is the fact that they are rewritable, meaning that they can keep all of the memory stored without a power supply.
The USB flash drive comes in various formats: a 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 128GB etc. The one that you choose depends on how much storage you need and how much you are willing to pay for the device. As of 2006, there were USB flash drives that could hold as much as 16GB of information and could be used with any computer as long as it supports the USB mass storage file system. Most computers have this format and it is very hard to not find one that has it. USB flash drives are also known as "chip sticks", "thumb drives", "pen drives", and "USB keys".
Flashbay is one company that is a leading provider in USB flash drives, as well as other forms of storage devices. They have all different flash drives available, in multiple colours and storage formats. You can also have the USB flash drives monogrammed with your name or a company logo for business purposes.
When USB flash drives were first introduced to the public, they were very simple in style and shape. Usually, if they were available in different colours, then it was only primary colours. Many of the devices were not even patented yet, and IBM was one of the sole companies that sold the products. Now, you can purchase a USB drive in any colour, style, company, etc.
In order to better explain the process, USB stands for "Universal Standard Bus". This means that it is a port that can be used with any type of computer to access a number of accessories, programs, and files. A USB flash drive is compact and acts as a removable storage device that allows the user to store very large quantities of information without losing it when the device is removed.
Inside of the tiny device is a small printed circuit board that is enclosed in a sturdy plastic shell and sometimes a metal shell. For extreme hard wearing, metal is the way to go. The only part of the device that you can remove from the shell is the cap. It protects the USB protruded end of the device that connects to the computer.
You do not need another power source or a battery for the USB flash drive to function on the computer. However, the only way to access any of the information on the port is to be connected to a computer. Students find that a USB flash drive is essential for all of their important documents. Most high school students and college students are always having to use a computer for their school work. Instead of using paper, they can simply store all of the information on the USB flash drive.
In recent years, floppy discs were thought to be easily damaged or could be erased if you held them in a particular way. CDs are also easily scratched. With the use of a USB flash drive you can save your desktop programs so that you can access them from another computer. The future for the flash drives is very large and they are only thought to improve from here on out.

Rhino Tuff EWC-8370 Electric Double Loop Wire Binding Inserter And Closer Review

Jeff McRitchie is thedirector of marketing for http://MyBinding. com. He writesextensively on topics related to Binding Machines,BindingSupplies, and more.

*The EWC8370 takes the great features of HD-8370 and encorporates them into a safe, button operated electric machine.
*This machine is designed to quickly and easily insert the pages of your document onto a wire binding spine and then professionally close the binding element to create a high quality bound presentation or proposal.
*The EWC-8370 is designed for use with 3:1 pitch wire binding spines between 1/4" and 9/16" in diameter. Plus, it can bind documents as short as 5.5 inches and as long as 14 inches.
Strengths / Features:
*This machine is designed to automate the process of inserting and closing a book bound with twin loop wire. One of the most difficult parts of binding any document using double loop wire is trying to insert the pages of the book onto the spine and the trying to close the spine without having the pages fall off. The EWC8370 helps to make this process easier by allowing users to insert their pages and close their wires in one smooth motion.
*The EWC-8370 is an electric machine with moving parts. In order to provide safety to its operators, this machine requires two handed operation to activate the machine. There are two green buttons that must simultaneously be pressed in order to activate the inserting and closing process.
*This machine has a series of notches on the front of the machine that are designed to help you choose the correct size of spine for your document. It has notches corresponding to all of the different sizes of 3:1 pitch wire between 1/4" and 9/16". You simply take the pages of the book and choose the smallest sized notch that they will fit into. This makes selecting the right size of wire incredibly simple.
*The EWC-8370 is designed to be used as a standalone machine or can be mounted to the top of your Rhino Tuff OD or HD vertical binding punch (except for the HD7500). However, mounting this item to the top of your machine will require an optional mounting kit.
Weaknesses:
*Like the smaller Rhin-O-Tuff manual wire closer / inserter combination machines, the major drawback to this system is in the setup. In order to use this machine there are a number of settings that must be adjusted. You need to set the wire closer, the book stop, the closing bar and the wire rest. If any of these components is not set up properly the machine will not work. For a technically minded operator the EWC8370 isn't going to be that hard to set up. However, for users that are constantly switching the diameter of wire that they are using or for inexperienced users this machine will be very difficult to operate.
*The EWC-8370 cannot be used to close documents that are larger than 9/16" in diameter and is not compatible with 2:1 pitch wire. A separate wire closing device will be required for closing 2:1 pitch wires. This is inconvenient for organizations that bind documents with both 3:1 and 2:1 pitch spines.
*The EWC-8370 is designed for use with a three to one pitch hole-pattern. However, in addition to the hole spacing you also need to make sure that the holes are the appropriate size, shape and distance from the edge of the paper. If you use round holes they should be 11/64" or larger and if you use square holes they should be 5/32" or larger. The Margin for round holes should be .168". For square holes it should be .179".
Recommendation:
*The EWC8370 is faster and more accurate than any of the manual wire closers and inserters that are available on the market.
*Using this machine it is possible to eliminate the tricky process of inserting the pages of your document onto your WireBind spines and then attempting to transfer them to a manual wire closer for finishing.
*However, this machine is somewhat difficult to set up and is not ideal for inexperienced users who are not mechanically inclined. In fact, this machine works best inside organizations that seldom need to change the size of documents that they bind.

How to Create an XP Bootable USB Flash Drive

Posted by Derek Rogers. Derek Rogers is a freelance writer who writes for a number of UK businesses. For logo branded USB Flash Drives, he recommends Flashbay.com.

An XP bootable flash drive is a flash memory device that has been configured to allow you to boot up Windows XP on a computer by plugging in your flash drive device into the USB port. An XP bootable flash drive is highly useful for two purposes:

1. Booting up XP to troubleshoot on any computer that permits the boot.

2. Transporting Windows applications between different physical locations such as home and the office.

To create an XP bootable flash drive, you first need a computer that has BIOS that will permit you to configure its USB port as a configurable device. Then you need a flash memory drive that is set up to be able to act as a booting device. It might not be readily known at first if you have a flash memory drive that is going to boot; one thing to look for when you access a computer's BIOS is whether or not the plugged-in flash drive appears in the listed items on the setup screen. Hopefully this happens, and you can then select this as the first device to check during your boot sequence. Some computers might require that you hit F10 to select your flash memory device.

Assuming that you have the computer and the drive that you need, now you need to get the software that will permit you to condense Windows XP onto your flash memory device.
This includes: PE Builder, which is easy to install just by following the directions; you need to install it into your root directory and make a folder in C:PEBUILDER3110a called SRSP1. This will enable you to download Windows Server 2003 Service Pack One to this place. There are only two files you need from it: setupldr.bin and ramdisk.sys. Don't extract anything else, because you may totally corrupt your current version of Windows if you do. Specifically, never run the Windows Server 2003 SP1 executable file.

Once you have these files, run your PE Builder CD (Windows XP Professional CD). Make sure you hold down the [Shift] key to prevent Autostart from launching the CD. Launch PE Builder manually. When the Source field on the main PE Builder screen, enter the letter of the drive in which you put the CD. Check to see that the Output box contains BartPE and that the "None" option is selected in the Media Output panel. Once you have all this squared away, click Build. You can watch the progress of the compression.

When it's complete you're prepared to format and copy the Windows XP Professional bootable image to the UFD with the BartPE USB Installer. Open a Command Prompt window and use the CD command to switch to the pebuilder3110a folder.

Next, insert the UFD into a USB port; note the drive letter to which it is assigned, as you'll need to enter it into your next command prompt that you type.

Let's imagine that it was assigned to drive E. You will now type the following command (take note of the last letter in the command).

pe2usb -f e:

When Bart is all done, you just hit any key to exit the program, and you have your XP bootable flash drive.

Advantages Of Buying CDs And DVDs Online

Posted by Elizabeth Murphy. About The Author: Using an online store to buy CDs or DVDs is agreat idea as it's convenient, inexpensive and fast.http://www.hmv. ca

These days, online shopping is very common. Buying CDs and DVDs online really makes sense for a variety of reasons, including simple convenience. Most online stores are very secure and you don´t need to worry about credit card theft with their secure systems. Others offer third party payment options which help to protect you as you spend money and make your purchases online.

Why Buying CDs and DVDs Online Is a Good Idea

Think about when you want to buy a certain CD at the store. You have to get to the music store first, which may or may not be out of your way. Even a near by shop will take you 5-10 minutes to get to. Then you have to find the music you´re looking for by searching through the bins of CDs . . . only to find that they don´t have what you´re looking for. Then it´s off to the next store. When you find the CD you want, you then have to stand in line to pay for it and finally, head home to listen to your newCD. It´s a pain in the neck!

Compare that to sitting down in your home, pulling up a CD store online and searching for the CD you want, listening to a sample track or two and then, in just a couple of clicks, purchasing your CD. It arrives a few days later, at your door.Much easier, wouldn´t you say?

There are plenty of other advantages to buying CDs and DVDs online, too.

• Time. You´ll have to wait for the CD or DVD to be delivered to you, but you can be doing other things during that time, which isn´t an option when you´re standing in line at the local music emporium.

• Searching. Online search boxes make it super easy to find exactly what you´re looking for, even if you aren´t sure who the artist is, what the song title is and only remember a couple lines from the chorus. Just want to watch all the movies with Johnny Depp in them? Then search his name and you´ll have a huge selection to choose from!

• Browsing. When you want to just check out a new band or movie, most online stores make it easy to listen to music clips from each album. You can also view previews of new movies online. You don´t have to wait for someone else to finish using the headphones and there´s no time limit, you can spend all day listening or watching clips and previews.

• Gifts. If you´re looking for the perfect gift for a friend or family member who doesn´t live near you, buying online is the perfect choice. You can usually specify a different shipping address than billing address and even get your CDs or DVDs gift wrapped and with a card included. This makes those last minute shopping excursions far easier!

• Availability. Your local stores are only open so late. What if you want to buy the latest DVDs at 3 am? Not a problem with online stores, they´re open 24-7. And, when local shops run out of the hottest music album, you can still get them online!

Buying CDs and DVDs online is a great way to go and many more people are choosing this method of purchasing over heading tothe local shops. It´s far more convenient and you´ll find that you are able to enjoy your shopping experience a lot more. Plus, what could be better than doing all your birthday shopping from your computer at 1 in the morning?
